Instructions for the transition period

Students were able to continue to study and graduate in accordance with the old 2016-2017 degree requirements until 18 December 2020 (in some degree programmes the transition period may be longer). As a teacher, it is important that you know whether your students are studying in accordance with the old or new degree requirements.

The old degree structures can differ from the current ones in that for example the scope of courses, study modules and dissertations can be different. In addition, also the old faculty-specific provisions that affect for example the expiry of studies, extension possibilities and such, concern the students studying in accordance with the old degree structures.

After the transition period, all students will be automatically transferred to the new degree programmes. Students can also choose to transfer to new programmes in advance, according to the rules of transition.
