Familiarise yourself with the University’s Pride programme and join us in celebrating equity, diversity and inclusivity.

The University of Helsinki is once again celebrating Pride. The theme of Helsinki Pride for 2026 is ‘Growing with Pride’.

– For us it means the opportunity to study, work and develop as ourselves. Our goal is to be a community where everyone can participate, learn and work without obstacles related to identity or fear of discrimination, explains Hanna Snellman, Vice Rector and Chair of the University’s Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination.

University of Helsinki Pride programme 2026 

• 22–28 June 2026: Pride flags flown for equality on all campuses 
• 25 June 2026 from 14.00 to 17.00: Pride Café at Learning Centre Aleksandria
• 27 June 2026: Pride parade 

The University of Helsinki is taking part in the Helsinki Pride Parade together with the Student Union (HYY). All members of the University community are welcome to join in.
