Presemo

Presemo is an activation tool that can be used to activate students during lectures or other teaching situations through questions, polls and conversations. Presemo works nicely with larger groups of students. The teacher can easily save a report of the session. In addition to lectures, Presemo can and has been be utilised in all-hands events, conferences, seminars and other similar events.

Presemo is browser-based, no software installations are needed. Presemo can also be used with a smartphone or tablet. All students do not need a mobile device of their own if they use the system in small groups (one device per group) during the lecture.

Presemo rooms can be managed by members of the University of Helsinki (teaching) staff.

Order a new room

Register a new Presemo room with the registration form. (max. Two rooms / teacher)

Upon creation a room name is selected for the room e.g. presemo.helsinki.fi/myroom At the same time, the address is the web response mode, the address of which is shared with the students.

You can access the presentation mode (response mixes) by inserting a  "/screen" after the room address. For example presemo.helsinki.fi/myroom/screen opens the presentation mode of the room in the previous example.

The teacher's own control mode (protected by a PIN) can be found by adding "/control" after the room address. Thus, the address presemo.helsinki.fi/myroom/control opens the control interface of the said room. 

Please no more than two Presemo rooms per administrator or teacher at a time. Rooms can only be ordered by HY staff. Please read the Presemo Terms of Use before ordering.

Presemo is an online service for the staff of the University of Helsinki, particularly for teaching personnel. To use Presemo, a helsinki.fi email address is required. The service is not available to users outside the university.

When ordering a new Presemo room, an email will be sent to the user containing a PIN code necessary for managing the room, as well as a link to delete the room. The email should be kept carefully.

A user can have up to two (2) rooms in Presemo at a time. If you order a third room, you must delete one of your old rooms. The user is responsible for managing the number of their active rooms and should regularly delete any unused rooms.

The user maintains their rooms using a PIN code they define themselves. It is the user's responsibility to keep the PIN code safe. If multiple people are managing the same room, they will use the same PIN code. However, the person who ordered the room is always responsible for any damages that may result from sharing the PIN code.
